The CSA&C has received a letter from the President of the Panchian Federation of Australia, Dr. Stan Salagaras. The members in Australia wish to participate in the planning of the next International Convention in Chios for 2007. Mr. Kontolios replied to them explaining how the conventions are organized, and promised to keep them informed of our plans. The CSA&C has also received a letter from the Prefecture of Chios asking for Chians abroad to help them organize meetings, inform everyone of various programs available, note the problems and complaints regarding Chios, start political and historical investigation, and aid them in publishing and distributing reading material. The members in attendance unanimously agreed to let the Supreme Lodge respond to the letter, accordingly. The Skylitsion Hospital Cardiology Committee reported that there is still $20000 to be raised to complete the fundraising goal of $50000. Supreme President, Mr. Dimitrios B. Kontolios reported that he spoke with the new administrator of the hospital, Mr. Menelaos Georgantelis, and the cardiologist, Dr. G. Georgiopoulos. They thanked the CSA&C for all the effort and concern for the hospital. The first $10,300 donated to the hospital, in September 2004, was used to purchase an echocardio machine to monitor heart valves. The remaining $39700 to be received will go towards the purchase of telemetry machines to monitor patients’ vital signs. Mr. Kontolios reported receiving donations of $5000 each, which were pledged, from Mr. George Chimples and the Chios Society of New Orleans, Agia Markella.
