Dear Fellow Chians and Friends:
It has
come to our attention that a young man from Chios is suffering from a tragic
accident that has left him paralyzed. A
drive has started for financial assistance towards his experimental treatments,
surgeries, and physical therapy.
His
name is Dimitrios Bougdanos and he’s 28 years old. He was injured six years ago in a traffic accident, which left
him paralyzed. He has been operated on
at the Asclepeion Voulas
Hospital, in Athens, and has been treated at the Rusk Institute at NYU. After examination from the staff of the IASO
General Clinic Holargou, in Athens, they have agreed to perform experimental
surgery on him with the hope that he will, one day, walk again. The cost of this, plus hospitalization, is
25000 Eurodollars. He will undergo
three months of rehabilitation at a clinic in Larissa, after the surgery.
The
Vrontadousion Chios Society “Homer” has opened a special account and is collecting
donations for Dimitri’s treatment.
Through past fundraising efforts, we have supported many Chian
institutions both here and abroad. We
have called on you in the past, and you have answered. We call on you again, and now we ask that
you pray and show your love for this young man.

Έχει έρθει
στην προσοχή
μας οτι ένας
νέος Χιώτης, μετά
από ένα
τραγικό
ατύχημα,
έμεινε
παράλυτος. Μια
κίνηση έχει
αρχίσει για τη
συνγκέντρωσει
χρημάτων για
τις
πειραματικές
θεραπείες, τις
χειρουργικές
επεμβάσεις,
και τη φυσική
θεραπεία του.
Το όνομά
του είναι
Δημήτριος
Μπουγδάνος και
είναι 28 χρονών.
Τραυματίστηκε
πριν έξι
χρόνια σε ένα
τροχαίο
ατύχημα που
τον άφησε
παράλυτο.
Έγχειρήστικε
στό Νοσοκομείο
Ασκληπιείο
Βούλας, στην
Αθήνα, και έχει
θεραπευθεί στο
Rusk Institute τού NYU.
Μετά από την
εξέταση από το
προσωπικό της IAΣΩ, Γενικής
Κλινικής
Χολάργου, στην
Αθήνα, έχουν αποφασίσει
να δοκιμάσουν
μία
πειραματική
χειρουργική
επέμβαση, με
την ελπίδα ότι,
μιά ημέρα, θά
περπατήσει
πάλι. Το κόστος
αυτής, μέ την
εισαγωγή στό νοσοκομείο,
είναι 25000 Ευρώ. Θα
υποβληθεί σε
τρεις μήνες θεραπευτικής
αποκατάστασης
σε μια κλινική
στήν Λάρισσα,
μετά από τη
χειρουργική
επέμβαση.
Ο Σύλλογος
Βρονταδούσιων
Χίου «Όμηρος»
έχει ανοίξει
έναν
επιπρόσθετο
λογαριασμό για
την συλλογή χρημάτων
για την
θεραπεία του
Δημήτρη.
Σέ
προηγούμενες
προσπάθειες,
έχουμε
υποστηρίξει
παρόμιες
περιπτώσεις. Σας
καλούμε πάλι,
και ζητάμε να
βοηθήσετε για
την
αποκατάσταση
της υγείας του
συμπατριώτη
μας Δημήτρη.
